Charlotte E. Snook, 1 month shy of her 105th birthday, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

She was born in Prairie City, Iowa, on February 25, 1906, to Charles and Anna Rouse Blaylock. Charlotte attended 2 years college after high school and was united in marriage to Richard M. Snook on July 13, 1936. They moved to Council Bluffs in January of 1943. A longtime member of Holy Family Church.

Charlotte was preceded in death by husband, Richard M.; sisters, Audrey Watts and Florence Grove; brothers, Karl and O.V. Blaylock.

Survivors include sons, Richard and wife, Carol, of Waukesha, Wisc., Roger and wife, Dorothy, of Council Bluffs, Francis and wife, Phyllis, of West Des Moines, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Pickering, of Ankeny, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary recitation Thursday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 a.m., Queen of Apostles Church. Father Dan Kirby, Celebrant. Lunch will follow immediately at Queen of Apostles Hall. Graveside services Friday, 3 p.m., Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Grand Junction, Iowa. Memorials to Richard M. Snook Scholarship at St. Albert Schools and Holy Family Church.
