CDA MEMBER SPOTLIGHT- JUDY LOOKABILL, A SPIRITUAL MOM
Judy Lookabill of CDA Court St. Anthony #330 is a special lady. She is a Spiritual Mom. Judy has been involved with the Spiritual Moms Program for the past 5 years which is sponsored by the IPF Institute For Priestly Formation Program located on the Campus of Creighton University. On March 25th, 2008, the IPF became a Public Association Of The Faithful. The mission of IPF directly serves diocesan seminarians and priests as well as those who are responsible for diocesan priestly formation.
The Spiritual Moms meet their Seminarians for the first time face-to-face. Spiritual Moms are women who agree to pray intercessory prayer for the seminarians attending the 10 week IPF Summer Program for Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians at Creighton University in Omaha, NE.
Judy Lookabill attended Friends Night on July 23rd, 2014 at Creighton.
Judy has a lot of faith in God. Not only has she had the experience of being a Spiritual Mom to a Seminarian, but Judy has also experienced the joys of motherhood being a “Special Mom” herself. Judy and her husband John celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 9th, 2013. Judy is the mother of 6 adult children – 4 boys and 2 girls. Judy’s husband John was one of the Founders who started the Knights of Columbus at St. Patrick’s Parish in Council Bluffs. Judy is a Church Lector at 9:00 a.m. St. Patrick’s Sunday Mass. She started the religious Children’s Liturgy at Queens of Apostles. She was Co-Leader of St. Patrick’s RCIA Program and very active for 6 years. Judy is a Graduate of Mt. Loretto High School in Council Bluffs and member of Serra Club. Judy has been very active in Catholic Daughters since 2008. She has served as Vice Regent and on CDA Communications Calling Committee.
